Site policy
Privacy policy
Effective August 17, 2026
Tools for Flooring Projects is designed to work without accounts or a project database. This policy describes how the website handles information when you use it.
Calculator data stays in your browser
Room dimensions, prices, waste rates, layout choices, and calculator results are processed by JavaScript on your device. The site does not send those values to a Tools for Flooring Projects backend or retain them after you leave or refresh the page. The site does not offer account storage or file uploads.
Technical request data
Like ordinary static websites, the hosting and network providers that deliver the site may automatically process request data needed for security and delivery, such as an IP address, requested URL, timestamp, browser information, and diagnostic logs. Their handling of that data is governed by their own terms and policies. Tools for Flooring Projects does not use that technical data to create calculator profiles.
Cookies, analytics, and advertising
The current site does not set analytics, advertising, or account cookies and does not include third-party advertising, analytics pixels, payment processing, or social-media embeds. If the site’s actual services change, this policy should be updated before those services are used.
External links
Links to other websites, if present, lead to services with their own privacy practices. Review those practices before providing them information.
Your choices
You can avoid entering sensitive or identifying information; none is needed for these calculators. Browser controls can clear page data and restrict scripts, although disabling JavaScript will prevent calculations from running.
Children’s privacy
The tools are general project-planning utilities and are not directed to children. The site does not knowingly request personal information from children.
Changes
This policy may be revised when site behavior changes. The effective date above identifies the current version. No operator contact details have been published in the site specification, so none are invented here.
