Frequently asked questions
How many square feet is a 4 × 8 sheet?
A full 4 by 8 foot sheet covers 32 square feet before cuts, gaps, or waste.
Should I subtract floor openings?
Large openings can be excluded, but small cutouts may not reduce the purchased sheet count because the surrounding sheet is still needed.
Does this plan seams over joists?
No. Use the framing plan and applicable installation requirements to orient and support sheets.
